Looking back at 2020 with a selection of 10 photos. From the readers’ favorite recipes to big life events, both in the private and the public sphere, here’s an idea of how 2020 looked like for Del’s cooking twist.
For many, 2020 will be remembered as a different year. People from all over the world suddenly found themselves facing the same new challenges. In these unprecedented times, we had to adapt, stick together, and create a new life balance. It’s been tough, it’s been challenging, but it’s also been the occasion to go the extra mile and develop new skills.
On a personal level, I also went through big life events. To name just a few, I moved to a different country and started from zero again, I grew a tiny human inside me and became a mom. In the middle of all this, the world’s circumstances led to a major increased interest for cooking. The blog had never been so successful and visitors came by millions to my humble little bubble, cooking and baking Del’s cooking twist daily.
Yes, this year has been tough and challenging by all means, but it also came with happy times, emotions and beauty. So without further ado, discover 10 photos that marked this year on the blog and in my personal life.

“Just a quick note to say thanks! I made a lemon poppyseed loaf from your recipe yesterday, and my wife and I both agree this was possibly the best lemon loaf we can recall. It was bursting with flavour, and was the perfect density to allow us to cut nice thin slices. This recipe will be a go-to for us from here on. Cheers” – John
