Hi, I’m Del, a happy French woman and a true foodie at heart. Originally from France, I recently moved to Chicago after spending several years in Stockholm, Sweden. It’s a new milestone for the blog and I’m happy to bring a new twist to my recipes, and to share with you some bites of my foodie life in Chicago!
I started this blog four years ago and took up the challenge of writing it both in English and in French. My cuisine is a true recreational workshop and culinary experimentation where I like to spend hours trying out new recipes and playing with colors, flavors and textures. Trying to use natural ingredients only, I like to develop healthy recipes, often vegetarian, sometimes vegan, gluten free, or lactose free.
When I am not busy in my kitchen working on new recipes, I like to enjoy the little things of life, capturing a simple moment with my camera (I am the co-author of the modest traveling blog SK945), or photographing my friends just for fun. I also like running, watching old movies that normal people usually find boring, drinking chai latte (my favorite drink), and I am always hungry of new places to discover! To learn more about me, read my interview In the Kitchen with Del’s cooking twist.
My food philosophy & career
My life is 100% food-focused: I am a passionate self-taught cook and baker, food blogger, food photographer, and I like to shoot video tutorials. I also work as a freelance food writer for diverse food magazines and websites and I love setting up baking workshop events.
My professional experience of the food industry awakened my interest for other food-related issues such as food nutrition, food sustainability and food education. Being expert in digital marketing and communication, I launched my own company Del Food Consulting alongside the blog in 2014. If you are a brand that is interested in working with me, be it for a sponsored post, hosting a giveaway, recipe or video development, or an event, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
