This extra delicious peanut butter banana smoothie is rich, creamy, and tastes like dessert. Filling and nutrient-rich, it makes a great healthy breakfast or snack for busy days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large very ripe bananas, preferably frozen*
  • 1 ½ to 2 cup (360480 ml) milk of choice
  • 3 Tablespoons creamy natural peanut butter
  • Optional: ¼ cup (25g) to ⅓ cup (30g) oats

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Depending on the desired texture, add more milk to thin, more banana (or some oats!) for thickness, or more peanut butter for richness and peanut flavor.
  2. Pour into a glass, and enjoy!

Notes

* You can freeze the bananas ahead of time (even weeks and months in advance). To freeze bananas for smoothies, it’s important to choose overripe bananas, then peel and break them into chunks. Place in a large ziploc bag, and freeze until ready to use.
