Chicago et son parfum enivrant&#8230; de chocolat !<\/h3>\n<p>En vous promenant vers le loop \u00e0 Chicago, il n&#8217;est pas rare de se laisser transporter par ces d\u00e9licieuses effluves de chocolat pr\u00e9sentes dans l&#8217;air. Pour tous les amoureux de chocolat, cela a quelque chose de magique, et notamment en hiver lorsqu&#8217;il fait tr\u00e8s froid dehors et que vous r\u00eavez de vous r\u00e9chauffer autour d&#8217;un bon chocolat chaud. \u00c0 chaque fois, cela me prend par surprise et me met instantan\u00e9ment de bonne humeur. L&#8217;origine de cette odeur de chocolat ? L&#8217;usine <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blommer.com\/\">Chocolate Blommer Company<\/a>, situ\u00e9e sur Kinzie tout pr\u00e8s de la rivi\u00e8re. Les vents allant vers l&#8217;est, ils apportent alors ces effluves de chocolat irr\u00e9sistibles en direction du loop. Chicago Breakfast Yoga Club, un nouveau projet!<\/h3>\n<p>Une blogueuse culinaire qui a comme repas pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 le petit d\u00e9jeuner depuis toujours + une prof de yoga passionn\u00e9e = un breakfast yoga club. C&#8217;est plus ou moins comment tout cela a commenc\u00e9. L&#8217;id\u00e9e est venue spontan\u00e9ment lorsque mon amie et prof de yoga de Su\u00e8de est venue me rendre visite \u00e0 Chicago au printemps dernier. Nous avons alors organis\u00e9 notre tout premier \u00e9v\u00e9nement ensemble, qui s&#8217;est av\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00eatre un vrai succ\u00e8s ! Quelques semaines plus tard, mon amie \u00e9tant repartie,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/\">Del&#8217;s cooking twist<\/a> et\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stephaniebour.com\/\">Steph B. Yoga<\/a>\u00a0s&#8217;associaient pour cr\u00e9er aux US le Chicago Breakfast Yoga Club, un tout nouveau projet encore inexistant ici. Apr\u00e8s une premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition r\u00e9ussie au d\u00e9but de l&#8217;\u00e9t\u00e9, nous organisons notre prochaine session le samedi 27 ao\u00fbt. Mes caf\u00e9s pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s \u00e0 Chicago<\/h3>\n<p>J&#8217;aime me poser dans un caf\u00e9 pour travailler, et c&#8217;est aussi l&#8217;occasion d&#8217;en d\u00e9couvrir de nouveaux de temps \u00e0 autres. Venant de Su\u00e8de o\u00f9 tout est cozy et chaleureux, je peux \u00eatre assez exigeante pour trouver un endroit qui me pla\u00eet vraiment. Mon pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 de tout Chicago est incontestablement\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theallis.com\/\">The Allis<\/a>\u00a0\u00e0 Soho House, qui est situ\u00e9 dans un ancien b\u00e2timent industriel au mobilier d\u00e9pareill\u00e9 dans un ambiance qui oscille entre chic et hipster. Vous y allez litt\u00e9ralement pour un <em>afternoon tea<\/em>, autour d&#8217;une s\u00e9lection de p\u00e2tisseries des plus gourmandes. Dans un style tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rent, j&#8217;aime aussi beaucoup\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dollopcoffee.com\/\">Dollop Coffee<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flashrealities.com\/\">Pickwick Coffee Roaster<\/a>\u00a0et\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gaslightcoffeeroasters.com\/\">Gaslight<\/a>, pour leur style hipster et moderne \u00e0 la fois, offrant une petite s\u00e9lection de p\u00e2tisseries de qualit\u00e9. Pour une exp\u00e9rience cozy et studieuse autour d&#8217;une chemin\u00e9e avec des p\u00e2tisseries fa\u00eetes maison, testez aussi\u00a0Eva&#8217;s cafe.<\/p>\n<p>Mon r\u00e9cent coup de coeur va \u00e0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caffestreets.com\/\">Caffe Street<\/a>, un endroit o\u00f9 l&#8217;on va pour travailler en solo plus que pour bavarder autour d&#8217;un caf\u00e9 et qui propose les meilleurs croissants et pains au chocolat que j&#8217;ai pu go\u00fbter dans un caf\u00e9 \u00e0 Chicago. Vous y retrouverez le go\u00fbt des viennoiseries toutes chaudes qui sortent d&#8217;une boulangerie francaise. Envie d&#8217;une glace ? Fa\u00eetes un tour du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blackdoggelato.com\/\">Black Dog Gelato<\/a>, ouverte en \u00e9t\u00e9 avec quelques tables en int\u00e9rieur \u00e9galement et un choix de glaces originales et surprenantes. J&#8217;ai test\u00e9 aussi le peanut butter &amp; jelly cookie de <a href=\"https:\/\/warmbellybakery.com\/\">Warm Belly Bakery<\/a> et me suis r\u00e9gal\u00e9e. Mon prochain caf\u00e9 sur la liste : le\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NutellaCafeChicago\/\">Nutella Cafe<\/a>, qui vient d&#8217;ouvrir il y a peu !<\/p>\n<h3>4. Un petit air de France \u00e0 Chicago : d\u00e9couvrez mes cours de boulange<\/h3>\n<p>Oui vous avez bien lu, on parle de baguettes \u00e0 Chicago ! De temps \u00e0 autres, je donne des cours aux Am\u00e9ricains pour apprendre \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser des baguettes avec\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cook-au-vin.com\/\">La Boulangerie<\/a>. Pendant pr\u00e8s de 4 heures, mes \u00e9tudiants apprennent \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser des baguettes, boules de pain et d&#8217;autres sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s francaises tels que des babas au rhum. Le cours commence et se termine par une d\u00e9gustation de pain, fromages et charcuterie dans un esprit bon enfant o\u00f9 chacun peut apporter sa bouteille de vin s&#8217;il le souhaite (BYOB concept). Mes plats et ingr\u00e9dients pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s aux US<\/h3>\n<p>Dans mon \u00e9pisode pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/fr\/2017\/08\/13\/celebrating-1-year-as-a-foodie-in-chicago-part-1\/\">1 an de foodie \u00e0 Chicago &#8211; partie 1<\/a>), je vous ai parl\u00e9 de mes habitudes au supermarch\u00e9 am\u00e9ricain pour bien manger. Passons maintenant aux produits et ingr\u00e9dients qui reviennent r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement sur ma liste de courses : bananes, \u00e9pinards, fruits rouges, oranges, citrons, avocats, flocons d&#8217;avoine (au naturel), beurre de cacahu\u00e8te et beurre d&#8217;amande, tahini, pois chiches (et aussi hummus d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00eat lorsque j&#8217;ai la flemme de le r\u00e9aliser moi m\u00eame), lait d&#8217;amande bio et non sucr\u00e9, toutes sortes de fruits secs et de graines (amandes, noix, noix de cajou, de p\u00e9can, graines de courges, de tournesol&#8230;), des lentilles corail, du fromage, de l&#8217;huile d&#8217;olive, du pain (toutes sortes, de la baguette francaise au pain pita en passant par d&#8217;autres sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s).<\/p>\n<p>Ceci est la base et mon panier varie bien s\u00fbr quelque peu de temps \u00e0 autre en fonction de mes envies et des saisons. Et puis aussi parfois je succombe au fameux Cornbread de Mariano&#8217;s, \u00e0 des tortillas avec du guacamole frais, ou encore aux cookie Milano&#8217;s au chocolat noir (ma petite faiblesse). En automne, je suis \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s adepte des courges et des patates douces.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13149\" src=\"https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/My-pantry-Chicago.jpg\" alt=\"My pantry Chicago\" width=\"887\" height=\"887\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/My-pantry-Chicago.jpg 887w, https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/My-pantry-Chicago-320x320.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/My-pantry-Chicago-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/My-pantry-Chicago-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 770px) calc(100vw - 40px), 730px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Il y a aussi quelques basiques en p\u00e2tisserie que l&#8217;on retrouve sur ma liste de course : la farine blanche, compl\u00e8te ou de seigle (bio de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence), le sucre cassonade et rapadura, le sirop d&#8217;\u00e9rable, l&#8217;huile de coco, le beurre, les p\u00e9pites de chocolat (\u00e0 forte teneur en cacao), des graines de lin moulues (pour remplacer des oeufs dans des recettes vegan), et du cacao en poudre non sucr\u00e9 et 100% cacao.<\/p>\n<h3>6. Manger vegan (et m\u00eame v\u00e9g\u00e9tarien) \u00e0 Chicago: un vrai d\u00e9fi !<\/h3>\n<p>Lorsque mon amie vegan est venue me rendre visite \u00e0 Chicago, j&#8217;ai compris combien il \u00e9tait difficile de trouver des adresses vegan ici, en comparaison avec la Su\u00e8de o\u00f9 l&#8217;on en trouve de plus en plus. En outre, la confusion entre v\u00e9g\u00e9tarien et vegan est fr\u00e9quente, tandis que tr\u00e8s peu d&#8217;endroits proposent des plats r\u00e9ellement v\u00e9g\u00e9tariens. Je ne suis pas vegan moi m\u00eame mais suis adepte de cette cuisine que je trouve tr\u00e8s cr\u00e9ative et s\u00e9duisante. Mon endroit pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 demeure le caf\u00e9\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagorawfood.com\/\">RAW<\/a> (celui qui est situ\u00e9 au 51 W. Huron Street, pas celui du French Market que je ne trouve pas tr\u00e8s cozy). Ils proposent des plats \u00e0 base de plantes \u00e0 la fois frais, savoureux et color\u00e9s, le tout dans une cuisine des plus cr\u00e9atives et une ambiance chaleureuse.<\/p>\n<p>Pour un format plus restaurant, je recommande <a href=\"https:\/\/badhunter.com\/\">Bad Hunter<\/a>, que j&#8217;ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 mentionn\u00e9 dans mon premier \u00e9pisode, pour leur menu v\u00e9g\u00e9tarien de m\u00eame que leur menu enti\u00e8rement vegan, tous deux propos\u00e9s en parall\u00e8le du menu classique, ce qui vous permet d&#8217;y aller avec vos amis non v\u00e9g\u00e9tariens tout en vous faisant plaisir. Si vous aimez la cuisine indienne, testez\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pubroyale.com\/\">Pub Royale<\/a>, un pub anglo-indien qui propose une cuisine indienne et v\u00e9g\u00e9tarienne revisit\u00e9e, et\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uruswatichicago.com\/\">Uru-Swati<\/a>, sur Devon Avenue, pour une cuisine v\u00e9g\u00e9tarienne indienne authentique cette fois-ci. L&#8217;endroit ne paie pas de mine, bien au contraire, mais vous serez surpris par la saveur de leurs plats. Healthy &amp; d\u00e9licieux!<\/p>\n<h3>7.\u00a0Les blogueurs culinaires \u00e0 Chicago<\/h3>\n<p>Emm\u00e9nager \u00e0 Chicago a \u00e9t\u00e9 l&#8217;occasion pour moi de me rapprocher de mon lectorat anglophone et d&#8217;une communaut\u00e9 de blogueurs am\u00e9ricains que je suivais depuis d\u00e9j\u00e0 un moment. J&#8217;ai par le pass\u00e9 eu l&#8217;opportunit\u00e9 de rencontrer des blogueurs francais et su\u00e9dois et c&#8217;est toujours un vrai plaisir que de rencontrer une communaut\u00e9 qui partage votre passion.<\/p>\n<p>J&#8217;\u00e9tais d\u00e9j\u00e0 virtuellement amie avec Peter de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.feedyoursoul2.com\/\">Feed Your Soul 2<\/a> depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, et notre rencontre \u00e0 Chicago a \u00e9t\u00e9 l&#8217;occasion d&#8217;\u00e9changer pendant des heures autour d&#8217;un simple caf\u00e9. J&#8217;ai aussi rencontr\u00e9 la maintenant tr\u00e8s c\u00e9l\u00e8bre\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sallysbakingaddiction.com\/\">Sally&#8217;s Baking Addiction<\/a>, lors de son baking show \u00e0 Chicago. Ce petit bout de femme est incroyable, modeste et adorable tout en \u00e9tant incroyablement dou\u00e9e. Elle est d&#8217;ailleurs sur le point de sortir son 3\u00e8me livre sur les cookies, n&#8217;h\u00e9sitez pas \u00e0 commander votre exemplaire. Et puis de mani\u00e8re plus inattendue, j&#8217;ai eu l&#8217;occasion de faire connaissance avec Erin du blog\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/erinsinsidejob.com\/\">Erin&#8217;s Inside Job<\/a>, lors d&#8217;un cours de personal training, et depuis j&#8217;adore lire son blog entre fitness, foodie et amoureuse de la vie tout simplement.<\/p>\n<h3>8. Chicago Farmers markets : mangez frais et de saison !<\/h3>\n<p>Durant toute la p\u00e9riode estivale et jusqu&#8217;aux premiers jours de l&#8217;automne, les march\u00e9s fermiers (ou Farmers markets) de Chicago regorgent de fruits et l\u00e9gumes frais produits localement, dans des \u00a0fermes de l&#8217;Illinois le plus souvent, ou \u00e0 proximit\u00e9. Mon pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 ? Le farmers market de Lincoln Park, qui est ouvert le mercredi et le samedi matin. Vous y trouvez un large choix de fruits et l\u00e9gumes, de confitures, tartes aux fruits maison et m\u00eame des fleurs des champs. Mariage et cuisine : th\u00e8me de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e !<\/h3>\n<p>Eh bien s\u00fbr, le grand th\u00e8me de cette ann\u00e9e \u00e9tait pour moi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/fr\/2017\/07\/22\/my-life-as-a-foodie-we-got-married\/\">notre mariage<\/a> ! Celui-ci n&#8217;est pas directement li\u00e9 \u00e0 Chicago puisqu&#8217;il a eu lieu en France, bien qu&#8217;\u00e0 la crois\u00e9e de trois cultures (su\u00e9dois, am\u00e9ricain et francais). L&#8217;organisation s&#8217;est d&#8217;ailleurs fa\u00eete pour la plupart aux et depuis les \u00c9tats Unis. Quelques adresses phares que nous retenons pour l&#8217;organisation de notre mariage depuis les US sont \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.papersource.com\/\">Paper Source<\/a>\u00a0pour tout ce qui est li\u00e9 aux faire-parts et d\u00e9co et\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhldn.com\/\">BHLDN<\/a>\u00a0pour de la jolie vaisselle que j&#8217;utilise depuis r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement pour le blog.
