Thin Dark Chocolate Almond Snacking Bark

Healthy energetic dark chocolate almond snack (low carb and naturally gluten free).

Ingredients

Scale
  • 7 oz (200g) unsweetened dark chocolate
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons agave syrup (or honey, maple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup (40g) chopped whole almonds
  • Dash of Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop chocolate and melt slowly in a water bath on low heat, or in the microwave. If you choose this second option, stir well every 20-second increments.
  2. Add in the agave syrup (or honey or maple syrup).
  3. Stir in the chopped whole almonds.
  4. Pour the mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt and place in the refrigerator to set, about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Break into pieces and enjoy. Store in a air-tight container in a cool place for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

* Feel free to add some other energetic topping ingredients such as pumpkin seeds, cranberries or chia seeds for instance.
