This cafe located in Brooklyn serves amazing brunches! In spite of a very sober façade, there is a huge queue standing outside on Sunday mornings. Thankfully everything is well organized and if you're lucky enough, it won't take you too long to get in. The inside, all painted in white, is very friendly, with a small flowers bouquet on every table and the possibility to draw on the table cloths. Go hungry, because the portions are enormous and everything is really delicious and original. What I loved the best was the homemade pork sausage and the buttermilk biscuit with plum marmalade and cream. Divine!
If you are looking for a great place where to eat bagels, go to Tompkins in the East Side. They serve many different bagels with different types of bread, while you can choose sweet and/or salty alternatives for the filling. I tried a sesame bagel filled with pumpkin butter, really surprising!
Here you can try Asian fusion sushi with a great blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian foods. The place is maybe a bit overpriced but it is still a great place to awake your senses to all these culinary cultures put together.
In a large and modern room, you will be served the best of the traditional Mexican kitchen. Even today, I still remember the taste of my dish… But the guacamole is for sure the best part and a must try! They make it fresh, just in front of you, and you can choose it more or less spicy. An excellent mix of flavors for your palate!
This restaurant is definitely my favorite in NYC, so far… Located in Brooklyn, you cannot tell you just stumbled upon a gold mine at first sight. But the place is well known by locals and that's actually how I heard about it. The menu is quite small which may get you a bit worried at first but don't, the dishes are absolutely amazing, all homemade cooked with fresh ingredients and using an extraordinary combination of flavors with herbs and so on. They also have truly refined and elegant wines, with a large selection from France. I could add one word for the service as well, which was excellent.
