I am very pleased to announce that I was appointed the organizer of the French Bataille Food 12, which will be held on Wednesday, May 7th. This event celebrates its 1 year and it is an honor to have the opportunity to bring together all the French willing to participate around a culinary theme of my choice.
To celebrate I chose to gather all the participants around the following theme:
The Layer Cake in the mood for Spring!
We love layered desserts with LOTS of layers, from cakes to muffins to trifles. Using artisan and homemade jams has become an especially popular trend, and these fruity or creamy fillings give desserts an easy, yet delicious dimension. On the other hand, the classic look of a tasty layered cake can still attract almost anyone with a sweet tooth. So here everyone is invited to participate with a dessert of his choice with layers! Plus the cake must be "in the mood for Spring", i.e. colorful or fresh, using seasonal ingredients for instance!
