I just came back from New York where I had a really great time! This gigantic and sprawling city is just impressive: in an area that you can easily cross on foot, you will find an extraordinary diversity in everything possible, from people to different boroughs and lifestyles, and of course an AMAZING food palette!
Thanks to a friend of mine who lived there for a couple of years, while studying at Columbia (Hi Anne-Claire!), I got this fantastic list of her favorite must-go places that she crafted with the help of a few other friends. I loved that list, which made my boyfriend and I feel like locals and have a more authentic experience of the Big Apple.
As I had this awesome experience with food – among other things – in New York, I now created my own list of the places I tried and loved, that you can find under My favorite eats in New York. I only recommend those restaurants that swept me off my feet and that I think are really worth going to. I also tried others that were great too but that I decided to keep on the back burner for now. If you want those addresses, feel free to write me a message.
Last but not least, I came back from the US with loads of new recipes in mind: American treats, Fusion food, Mexican specialties and so on… I can't wait to try them all! In the meantime, enjoy the view of this picture that I had for breakfast in East Village: a wholegrain bagel filled with pumpkin butter. It was just marvellous!
